The 33st annual Wooden Boat Show - of the N.C. Maritime Museum occurs at the Museum, Watercraft Center and on the Beaufort waterfront. Wooden Boat Exhibit is Saturday and includes demonstrations and races. Week-long schedule of activities at the Museum precede the show. Information: Jane Wolff, 252-728-7317.

20th Annual Beaufort Music Festival
The 2007 Beaufort Music Festival offers music and concerts on mulitple stages in Downtown Beaufort and on the waterfront. This is a family oriented weekend with free music and activities for all family members. Concerts will be performed on Beaufort's waterfront and in the Maritime Museum as well as in pubs and restaurants. The music begins at 6:00 pm on Friday and continues around town all weekend! Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament An exciting Crystal Coast tradition in mid-June, this is one of the largest sport-fishing tournaments in the country, and is fished by around 200 competitors in substantial cash categories. There are generally around 6 to 8 competitors in each boat. Big winners are also community organizations that receive tournament support.

MCAS Cherry Point Air Show
The East Coast's largest Marine Corps air station will again open its gates to the public during its now annual open house highlighting the latest in Marine Corps warfighting technology and military aviation. This year also marks the anticipated return of the U. S. Navy's premiere flight demonstration squadron, the "Blue Angels." Featuring the F/A-18 Hornet, the Blue Angels' mission is to enhance Navy and Marine Corps recruiting efforts and to represent the naval service to the United States, its elected leadership and foreign nations. Beaufort Old Homes & Gardens Tour A self-paced tour through the quaint streets of Beaufort, one of North Carolina's oldest towns. Open for touring are private residences and gardens, the Old Burying Ground, and the buildings of the Beaufort Historic Site. A concert, antique car show, living history demonstrations and tours of Beaufort's historic district are scheduled. For information call 252-728-5225.

Fourth of July Parade & Community Picnic Along the downtown Beaufort waterfront is an old-fashioned tradition in historic Beaufort. The parade includes kids, pets, wagons, flags, & music. Barta Boys and Girls Club Billfish Tournament Headquartered at the downtown Beaufort Docks, is a billfish release-only event with Tuna, Wahoo, Dolphin and King Mackerel Gamefish Divisions including a Jr. Angler Division for ages 16 years or younger. In addition to fishing, the world's greatest marine artists are on hand to display their artwork, some pieces are available at auction. Beaufort Olde Towne Rotary Road Race
The race is run through the historic Town of Beaufort and along the waterfront, and afterwards there's plenty to do. Fishing, kayaking, sailing, shopping and a variety of restaurants await you. Proceeds from the Race benefit the boys and girls of Carteret County.
